I couldn't find this info anywhere so posting it here for others as needed. This assumes you already have pppoe configured and working as that is beyond the scope here. Here is how to enable IPV6 on pfSense (version 2.4.4) 1. Contact ebox to get your static /56 subnet (yes, you get STATIC /56 block). 2. On pfSense under Interface->WAN (or whatever you named your public interface), select "DHCP6" for "IPv6 Configuration Type". 3. Under "DHCP6 Client Configuration" select "Request a IPv6 prefix/information through the IPv4 connectivity link", select "56" for "DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation size" and select "Send an IPv6 prefix hint to indicate the desired prefix size for delegation". 4. Save and apply changes. Once the settings are applied, you should have an IPV6 address on the pppoe interface (WAN). 5. Under Interface->LAN (or whatever you named your internal network interface), for "IPv6 Configuration Type" select "Static IPv6". For "Static IPv6 Configuration" enter an "IPv6 address" based on your provided prefix. eg if your prefix is 2606:6d00:1234:1200::/56 then the LAN IP can be 2606:6d00:1234:1200::1/64. 6. Save and apply. Now you should have static IPV6 assigned to your network and all connected device should get IPV6 address. 7. Repeat step 5 for all internal interfaces/network.
