Hi,
So I just signed up with the 500/500 service of ebox in Ontario over my existing Bell line. I've used the Bell 1Gbps FTTH service at my apartment for the last 6 year by also bypassing completely their modem/converter/router with my own tp-link MC220ML Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter + Asus RT-AC68U router with Merlin-wrt firmware with their PPPoE credentials.
Since I saw Ebox is also providing us with our PPPoE credentials, I've tought I can use the same setup for my new 500/500 service since is over the same line.
I've went into my router and entered the PPPoE credentials, MTU and VLAN ID to 40 after my technician came and installed/activated the EBOX service , but was unable to have it working like it was on my previous Bell service.
Is it possible to completely bypass all provided gear and use our own gigabit ethernet media converter + router to have the EBox service working?
If yes, could someone help me with what I am doing wrong in the setup?I've used the instructions provided on my ebox account...
